View of Domestic Violence
What is it for them that tomorrow brings
Contentment maybe, or more of the same thing
Locked in a relationanship where fear is real
Surely life threatening, becoming a desperate ordeal!
Their spirit broken by the man they adore
Pushed to the edge, can thay take anymore?
Wanting him to change, they try, try again
Please don’t beat me, how have I sinned?
The slightest thing makes him go wild
Taking it out on wife and child
Not caring enough to control his mood
Letting it control him, where is his food?
Was she gone at the store too long?
Just what is it that she does wrong?
Her attempt to please seems to get ignored
For this woman, what will lay in store?
Hiding the fact she is being abused
Yet worrying about him, she is so confused
The punching and hair pulling will reoccur
If she stays, she will die for sure!

nothing ever changes the abuser. We blame ourselves for what is going on.
We believe the lies that they tell us "This is all your fault",
"You made me do this", "If you would have done this, then
this wouldn't have happened".
Please don't believe their lies. Don't take the blame because someone else
