My Mother, My Friend

Shadows of time fall gently
across your perfect face.
Laugh lines sweetly take their place
with each smile that you give.
My mother, my friend...softly being pulled into,
yet another decade of life.
For all of the times you sacrificed for me,
I thank you.
For always being there for me, even when I didn't deserve for you to be,
I am forever grateful.
For all of the love you have given, so unselfishly,
from an unexhausted fountain,
I love you back.
You have been a blessing to me
and I am elated that God, in all of His
Wisdom, chose you to be my mother.
May He Bless you and bestow
many more years to your precious life.
May He multiply all of the happiness to you,
that you have given to others.
My mother, my friend.
