True Love

You can feel physical attraction, stirred by basic needs
It can even have a chemical compound to enhance the urge to couple
True love is no accident nor does it manifest itself in physical need although it may dwell there for a time
It is ordained and revels itself in the spirit
It may be that there is many such we may feel that connection
God chooses and we are given the opportunity
It's not the potential that exhibits lasting love
It is the daily growth, the trials of life, the overcoming of hardships
And finally you reach a point where you know your spirit is at rest with another's
Then you know you've reached it
Now you know you are at a place where you will be with that spirit forever
Now you know that when you see two old people holding hands
Looking at each other with love in their eyes
That you are in the place you need to be
You have reached the purpose of your journey which is true love
And it only gets better…
