Song Playing is "You Are My Special
Angel"

My Special Angels My Aunt Rita and Uncle
Dunc
I love all of my family
very much and each of them is special in their own way and
special for a different reason.
They are all special
for not only who they are, but also for what they did for me
when I was a child and what it means to me now. Some are
special just because I now know what they did for me when I
was young.
My Aunt Rita and uncle Dunc were very
special people and now they are special angels.
I'm
sure if you sit and think of all of your relatives, you can
think of only ONE couple who shows everyone what TRUE LOVE is
all about. This was my Aunt Rita and Uncle Dunc.
Their
marriage was a very special thing because the devotion to each
other could be seen by everyone. He loved her with every fiber
of his being and she loved him the same way.
If my Aunt
Rita was upstairs and my Uncle Dunc downstairs and she even
whispered his name, he would immediately know and answer.
Every home they ever bought, he was constantly fixing
it up to ensure that my aunt had everything.
They
amazed me as a child because even then I could feel their
love. I knew that they had something special. My Aunt and
Uncle just made it seem that love was all you needed. I always
thought of how difficult it would be if one died before the
other. I thought that my aunt's death would kill my uncle and
visa versa.
When my Aunt was told that she had
Alzheimer's, my uncle immediately took on full duty. He would
come home in the afternoon to make sure she was okay and feed
her lunch. Then he would come straight home from work and make
supper and clean up. He worked all day, did housework, laundry
and everything else at night.
When my mother and Aunt
Simone asked him to get help, he refused. He wanted to ensure
that at the end, she would have full care. As long as he felt
he could take care of her, then he wanted to do that for her.
He used to put all of her paychecks into her bank account and
never spend any. He wanted to save that money for her.
I always knew that my aunt's death would kill my uncle
and visa versa. This kind of love happens rarely but I just
knew that if my Aunt died, my Uncle would die shortly after
from a broken heart. God intervened and arranged it so that my
Uncle went before her. He also arranged that my aunt would not
suffer the loss of her soulmate. She was in Stage 3 with
Alzheimer's when he died so she really knew nothing about what
was going on. She also died peacefully during her
sleep.
It seems as if one day he was well, and the next
day he had cancer. His family, his sisters and my mother and
aunt made sure that his wishes were done. He wanted to die at
home and he did. He wanted Aunt Rita to get the best of care
and she did.
I remember thinking at his funeral how
God had touched this couple. My Aunt Rita at this time was in
Stage 3 of Alziehmer's, so she didn't even know him when he
died. His death, which normally would have killed her,
didn't bother her because she didn't know who he
was.
God took this couple in a way they were able to
handle each other's deaths.
I wasn't able to say
goodbye to either one since they went quickly. My Uncle Dunc
just slipped away in his sleep. My Aunt Rita did the same.
She was in a home then, so my mother and aunt got a
call about her death. No one was able to say goodbye to her,
but I did get a chance to spend time with my Uncle before he
died. No one was allowed in the room who smoked, Everyone
showered if they smoked to enter his room. Smoke really
bothered him. But his whole family was around him near the
end.
This wonderful couple left 4 children. My
cousins, Jimmy (the oldest married to a wonderful wife Ranada
and their children), Duncan, Mark and Laura. All of them live
out of town so they had to fly in often.
Jimmy took
care of their estate. My Aunt and Uncle loved all their
children and especially their grandchildren. Grandchildren
can make a big difference in someone's life. I'm sure that
Jimmy, Randa and their children know that they were loved very
much.
I don't want you to leave this section crying,
but I do want you to leave here and run to your family and
thell them how much they are loved. Do it now!! No one knows
how much time they have here on earth. There are no guarantees
or warranties stating how long we will be here.
So,
I've learned the hard way to always tell the people you care
about, just how much you care. Don't wait until they are gone.
Tell them now!!
Always make sure that you tell your
loved ones that you love them. Tell them often, and tell them
how you feel about them while they are still here. The
greatest tradegy is to wait to tell them and then find out
it's too late. I know. I missed telling my grandmothers and
Aunts and Uncles that I cared and loved them all dearly. I'm
sure that they knew it, but that isn't good enough for me now.
Now I really wish I had told them how very much I loved them
and how important they were in my life.
So, Aunt Rita
and Uncle Dunc, here is my goodbye and a letter telling you
just how much you meant to me
Dear Aunt Rita and Uncle
Dunc:
As you sit in Heaven, watching down over all of
us, I want you to know that that I loved you very very much
and still think of you often today.
I'm sorry that I didn't
get to say "Goodbye" to you, but please know that you are in
my heart all the time. Doing this site and putting this letter
here is my Goodbye to you.
So Aunt Rita and Uncle
Dunc, I know you can see this. I want you to know that I
appreciate the impact you had on my life for love.
I
knew that I wanted the magic you both shared and now I have
found it. Thank you for showing me that it still existed. I
had given up on love, but you both made me continue to search
for the magic.
Thank you for loving me. I want you to
know that I love you and I miss you.So wait by the gate for me
with the rest of our family. When my turn comes, I want you
there to greet me. I love you.
I love you Aunt
Rita and Uncle Dunc. All my love, Your
Neice,

[ My Father ] [ My Mother ] [ My Neice, Crystal ] [ My Grandmother, Bertha ] [ My Grandmother, Florence ]
[ My Aunt Jeanette ] [ My Aunt Rita and Uncle Dunc ] [ My Aunt Simon ] [My Uncle Paul ]
